Backyard Baby...
What is the bright yellow shiny object in the sky? The sun! Yeah! It has been a bit since
it has shown up around these parts.
Oh! Happy Day! New Fabric is starting to arrive!
I will be posting as it starts to arrives, so you will want to stay tuned.
The above fabric grouping is called Backyard Baby. I always hear, "It's so hard to find boy fabric"
NOT any more! As soon as I saw this little boy collection I just knew the perfect little pattern.
So... today I am making kits!

Merry
I remembered to stuff the kiddos advent calenders last night. I bought them from Starbucks a few
years ago. The cutest thing ever, but really tiny little boxes, like one and a half inches square.It is a
bit challenging to fill those babies with cute stuff, other than chocolate. I was so disappointed to take
out my son's calender last night., with over half of the boxes not even opened from Christmas 2010.
I have to say the chocolate did not look too bad after a year.
*Sigh* I think they may be getting too old.

Let's Celebrate!
Really? Seven years? I remember the excitement opening the doors seven years ago.

My Dad's '29 Model A
I was so excited to have my parents stop by for a visit. To give you some background info...
Dad started restoring his car Thirty-Seven years ago! I only know that date because my sister was just born and she just celebrated her 37th birthday last week.
I vaguely remember going to pick up the 1929 Model A, from a farmer in the States. It was used for target practise in the field. It was riddled with bullet holes.
Growing up, we did not have the typical Family room in the basement. My Dad blew a hole through the walls, installed double doors, and there it sat... for years. Don't get me wrong he worked on it sporadically over the years. In my preteen years it was so embarrasing. I wanted to have a family room to hang out it with my friends. During the teenage years it was different. Any boy that came over for a date was more interested in that car stored in the basement than us girls.
Talk about a labour of love. My Dad is very talented. If he did not have the part he would make it.
I had tears in my eyes as I saw my parents pull up to the shop the other day. The smiles beaming across their faces was priceless! I grew up telling people that my Dad can fix anything...
and he can.
I am so proud of you Dad! Mom you have amazing patience!
