It's a Wrap!

We all want some Figgy Puding when the weather turns cold. What to make with these you ask?  Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey recently added to the shop and I have the most delectable project in mind. These rolls make perfect little presents.  You'll see!

Christmas Snowballs

Could not resist making another quilt like this.  Thanks to Keely for the loan of her quilt for the photo. She was just that much faster.  If you happen to pop into the shop in the next couple of days, can see it on display.   I am making this quilt for Rachel as a Christmas present.  There was just one catch, she had to cut out the quilt fabrics. Nothin' better than having a 'sous quilter' in the family.

Today I received an e-mail from Amy Butler and she sends us her LOVE!  The newest,

luscious fabrics from her latest collection.  The fabrics have been ordered and we are

anticipating the arrival soon.  In the meantime check out some Free Downloads

here.

the latest copy of Martha Stewart.  I just love the little

snail best (He shall be named Gooey!)

This is my favourite time of year! and if you did not

all ready know I have two kitties named after some things

in this very Fallish picture.  Hesitate to take a guess?

Trees for Sale by Sandy Gervais..Pieces from my Heart.  I LOVED

making this quilt!  Had a few customers peeking in during the

process.  I only had one pattern in stock at the time.  I figured I was

done, and sold my only copy!  Silly me!  I still had to add the

borders!  What size to cut!? 

I did what any desperate quilter would do...I phoned the

designer! Sandy Gervais..{pattern & fabric designer} returned my

call.  I was so pleasantly surprised!  Not only did she tell me what

size to cut the borders she packed up and shipped a whack of these

great patterns for you to make too! 

Now off to finish the quilt.  Kits available, pattern back in stock any

day thanks to Sandy.

Roadside fruit stand.  I heart the small town vibe and the honour system. One

box of pears $5.  Take note of the second picture, makes me laugh!  Pears in a

'fresh mushroom' box.  I'll take pears over mushrooms any day.

This post reminds me of this beauty of a tablerunner.

My wonderful husband surprised me with a great

Birthday weekend. 

What is better than wine & good

food?  Vineyard hopping the "Bottleneck Drive" in

Summerland!  We couldn't have asked for better

weather..31 degrees in September!

Hostess with the Mostesst

Too Cool! Lunches for back to school. 

Mom did NOT make me these for lunch.  With that time just around the corner,

I am left to make lunches {sigh} again. To be honest, as a Mom that was the best

part of Summer Holidays..no brown bagging it.   In actuality my Mom was pretty

good at the lunch department.  Remember 'ants on a log'?  She would also cut our

apples in pretty patterns when you opened it a star burst pattern would appear. 

Unfortunately for my kids I am lacking the inspiration for great lunches.   I 'try' to

supply the necessary food groups.  The youngest whines she 'will not eat that!' 

I make her take it anyways. I would not want the teachers to question my parenting

skills. I know she does not eat it.  She brings it back home!  Who brings it back? 

Back in the days we traded or shh!.. threw it in the trash.
