This simple little project started off innocently enough. I had no malicous intent... honest!
(scroll down to get all the funny story)
I was making this paper garland a few weeks ago in the studio. The idea came to me months ago.
- hole punch 1.5" or larger
- used book or magazine
- sewing machine & thread
Stitch through two layers at a time and chain piece. Make it as it as long as you wish. Fold and press to separate. Cute!

This is how it went down.
Nick: "that is a great idea!"
Me: "thanks! pretty cool huh?"
Nick: "what paper are you using?"
Me: "this old book I had lying around"
Nick: "did you read it?"
Me: "nah! couldn't get into it"
(Michelle walks into studio)
Michelle: "what is it called?"
Me: "everyone worth knowing"
Michelle: " oh! I've read that"
Me: thinking to self uh! oh!
Michelle: "I even own it"
Me: "oops!!!!"
Long story short:
Michelle lent me the book awhile back. I did not realize it was hers and I cut it up!
Makes for a good story, but I don't think she will be lending me a book anytime soon.
